Los golpes de dados de Nietzsche y Mallarmé

Abstract

Este trabajo consiste en un breve desarrollo en torno a la imagen-concepto del azar ubicada tanto en la filosofía de Nietzsche como en la literatura de Mallarmé. En el caso de Nietzsche, el azar es presentado mediante la metáfora de un lanzamiento de dados que remite a la naturaleza de los acontecimientos del mundo. Esta naturaleza es aquí comprendida por el filósofo desde el concepto de caos. Por su parte, en la obra de Mallarmé, el azar es mostrado, paradójicamente, a través de la imagen de un naufragio y de las acciones de ciertos personajes (Igitur y el Maestro) que se encuentran perpetuamente en suspenso. La naturaleza de tales imágenes conduce a pensar el azar como una relación intrínseca entre el pasado y el futuro, que define el campo de lo posible. Es el concepto de límite lo que permite realizar una comparación, en ambos autores, sobre el problema del azar.This work consists of a brief development around the image-concept of chance located in the philosophy of Nietzsche and Mallarmé ́s literature. In the case of Nietzsche, the chance is presented through the metaphor of a throwing of dice that refers to the nature of events in the world. This nature is understood by the philosopher through the concept of chaos. For its part, in the work of Mallarmé, the chance is presented paradoxically through the image of a shipwreck and the actions of certain characters (Igitur and the Master) who are perpetually in suspense. The nature of such images leads to thinking of chance as an intrinsic relation between the past and the future. This relation defines the field of possible. It is the concept of limit that allows a comparison about the problem of chance in both authors.
