La rational choice en la comprensión de los motivos de ingreso al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar algunos hallazgos de investigación en los que se identificaron algunos aspectos y matices de la Rational Choice (RC) en los motivos de ingreso al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI), por parte de algunos académicos de dos universidades del Noroeste de México. Esto en virtud de la ponderación de costos-beneficios y donde el nombramiento otorgado constituye una maximización en la profesión académica y el mercado académico. El artículo se deriva de una investigación cualitativa más amplia ya concluida. En la introducción se refieren aspectos generales de la RC con base en autores clásicos como Anthony Downs, Kenneth Arrow, Gary Becker y Jon Elster, los aspectos epistemológicos y el tema particular que se aborda. En el desarrollo del artículo se presentan los hallazgos obtenidos durante el proceso de análisis de los datos en los que se resalta la RC como uno de los marcos teóricos a través de los cuáles se pueden comprender y analizar las motivaciones de ingreso al SNI. A su vez se argumenta la originalidad y relevancia de este artículo en relación con el objetivo propuesto. Por último, se exponen algunas reflexiones finales.

The objective of this article is to present some research findings in which some aspects and nuances of the Rational Choice (RC) were identified in the reasons for entering the National System of Researchers (SNI), by some academics from two universities of the Northwest Region of Mexico. This by virtue of the cost-benefit weighting and where the appointment granted constitutes a maximization in the academic profession and the academic market. The article is derived from a broader qualitative investigation already concluded. In the introduction, general aspects of CR are referred to based on classical authors such as Anthony Downs, Kenneth Arrow, Gary Becker and Jon Elster, the epistemological aspects and the particular topic that is addressed. In the development of the article, the findings obtained during the data analysis process are presented, in which CR is high-lighted as one of the theoretical frameworks through which the motivations for entering the SNI can be understood and analyzed. In turn, the originality and relevance of this article in relation to the proposed objective is argued. Finally some final reflections are presented.
