Huellas, vejez y migración: producción de identidades

Abstract

El presente documento tiene como propósito central analizar los discursos de otredad en la experiencia migratoria hacia Estados Unidos en personas mayores retornadas a Durango. En un intento por vincular las metáforas que aparecen en el pensamiento del autor, se discuten las anécdotas de 18 participantes mayores de 60 años que trabajaron o vivieron en Estados Unidos, y quienes fueron seleccionados por medio de una muestra intencional. Dentro de los principales resultados se advierten tramas lingüísticas que aparecen en las comunicaciones orales, donde se manifiestan tensiones entre el territorio, los nacionalismos, el lenguaje y la producción de mismidad como mecanismos que utilizaron los sujetos para hacer frente a las múltiples violencias, segregaciones y desigualdad del contexto migratorio.The main purpose of this document is to analyze the discourses of otherness in the migratory experience to the United States in older people who have returned to Durango. In trying to link the metaphors that appear in the author’s thought, the anecdotes of 18 participants over 60 years of age who worked and/or lived in the United States, and who were selected through an intentional sample, are discussed. Within the main results, linguistic plots present in oral communications are taken into account. These give rise to tensions between the territory, nationalisms, language and the production of sameness as mechanisms that the subjects used to face the various violences, segregation and inequality of the migratory context.
