Ecoturismo en México: mariposa monarca

Abstract

Uno de los espectáculos más bellos que nos brinda la naturaleza, es la llegada a territorio mexicano de la mariposa monarca, aunque originaria del norte del continente americano recorre aproximadamente cinco mil kilómetros, en busca de zonas más cálidas donde puedan permanecer mientras dure el invierno, tiempo en el que realiza su apareamiento. La complejidad que presenta este fenómeno migratorio hace necesario establecer una continuidad biogeográfica en la zona y regular las actividades ecoturísticas. Con lo cual se pretende educar y concientizar a las poblaciones, con el fin de integrarlos al manejo de la Reserva, lo que incluye el respeto a su historia y a su cultura.One of the most beautiful scenaries in nature is the arrival of monarch butterfly to mexican territory. This butterflies came from north América and fly looking for warm zones where they can stay during winter. They travel arround 5,000 kmts every year to a place where they can make their mate. This migratory movement makes necessary to establish a continous biogeographic on the zone, and a regulation of ecologic tourism's activities. The ecological tourism of monarch butterfly seeks to make the population, concious for the optimal integration in the biosphere's running. That process includes mostly the respect of history and the culture of the place.
