- Abstract
At a first glance it seems that the Second Law of Thermodynamics, the Fundamental Law of Physics, is inapplicable to a system of life and to the environment of Earth. It is understandable, however, if one takes into account that both systems represent themselves non–equilibrium stationary open systems. A deeper understanding to these systems becomes possible if one considers them from an entropic approach. Such considerations could provide interesting educational materials for the beginners of thermodynamics.
