Juventud y acción colectiva en México

Abstract

El objeto de este artículo es estudiar la participación de jóvenes en acciones colectivas en México a través de diversas preguntas ¿A qué llamamos juventud? ¿A qué se llama acción colectiva? ¿Hay diversos tipos de acción colectiva juvenil? ¿Cuáles son las formas en que se manifiesta empíricamente la participación de jóvenes en acciones colectivas? ¿Cuál es la magnitud de de la participación juvenil en acciones colectivas? En lo particular creemos que la participación juvenil es más un mito que un hecho en el contexto mexicano. Es decir, creemos que no se ha producido en la magnitud que algunos autores esperaban como para mejorar las condiciones de existencia material y simbólica de los jóvenes mexicanos.

The subject of this article is to study the involvement of young people in collective actions in Mexico through various questions to what do we call youth? Collective action is called what? There are various types of youth collective action? What are the ways in which the participation of young people in collective action manifests empirically? What the magnitude of youth participation in collective action? In particular we believe that youth participation is more a myth than a fact in the Mexican context. In other words, we believe that there has been in the magnitude that some authors hoped to improve the conditions of material and symbolic existence of Mexican youth.
